Dreaming Uncontrolled - Make a Wish Campaign Announcement

Thank you to everyone who answered the call to action for the Make a Wish Foundation campaign.  We only missed our goal of $1000 by $950.... Roughly... haha, but all is not lost. I have decided to double the contributions and match, and the Make a Wish Foundation will receive a full donation of $216.  As I mentioned this was an experiment, and I learned a lot. I learned that I suck at fundraising, and that this was the wrong approach to reach most of you, our listeners.  Maybe it was too much, too soon, or just the wrong campaign for our demographic. I accept that.  And for all of you, please accept I will keep trying new things. I hope you stick around and answer the call-to-action that is truly compelling for you.  In the meantime, please continue to enjoy what content Jacob and I continue to produce.  To close out this campaign, please stay tuned for one more song.  This is from 14-year-old Emily, who was granted her wish to have her song professionally recorded. now available on iTunes.

E6S-135 Bit o'Agile

In this episode number 135, we discuss a "Bit o'Agile."  Now this episode is a little bit different, because it was unplanned. (Jacob actually didn't even know I was recording.) So I hope you enjoy some of this candid and raw conversation about different parts of agile.  If you want to learn more about agile, drop us a note and we'll include more in a later episode.

Oi! Ten thousand years will give you such a crick in the neck.

The Make a Wish campaign is still going, so for everyone who contacts me or leaves a review, I donate a dollar to the Make a Wish Foundation.  If you're thinking tomorrow would be better time or maybe someone else will make the effort, you're wrong. If not now, then when?  If not you, then who? Don't delay.

(All donations will be forwarded to the Make a Wish Foundation through July 2016, and will receive a corporate match up to $1000)

Who are you?

Who are you?

It's no secret I'm really trying to understand who our listeners are.  It seems to be the hardest part of podcasting so far. Over the past two and a half years, I have put together over 63 hours of post-edited content. We try to bring a unique perspective to continuous improvement methodologies, by going far beyond where most other podcasts leave off.  This is a podcast for the practitioner.  Many of you who have contacted me are not certified or officially trained in Lean Six Sigma, but that doesn't mean you are any less a practitioner.  If you've been following these casts for the last couple years, and testing out some of the tips, you are well on your way in your journey.  It is a journey that never ends, and only requires that we begin, continually pushing through that next level of success, waving hello as we pass through on our way to the next level of success.  In our journey, we began with just an idea, and for our first episodes, less than 50 of you joined us on that journey. Since then, we added another 10 subscribers each week to over 1200, including you. I'm quite proud of the slow and steady increase, because it is a stable grass-roots effort.  We're not selling buzz, we're selling reliable advice with tried and true methodologies.  So with 1200 subscribers, I have only heard from a handful of you. So I'm testing out this campaign, putting up my own money for charity, hoping to hear from all of you.  Help me grant some wishes for some children in need.  All you need to do is contact me to say hello. Just send me a quick email, and say "Hi, Aaron. I listen to your podcast....."  I'm not affiliated with the Make a Wish Foundation.  There is no ulterior motive for me. I only stand to lose money, but I'm willing to do so to gain a connection with you. Podcasting is lonely, like speaking to 1200 imaginary friends... So here's a reminder how this will work:

The Make a Wish campaign is over half way. Time is running out. Contact me today.
